Cookie Policy.

Plain-language inventory of the cookies the TrendSurfers website sets, the third party that may set further cookies on your behalf (Microsoft Clarity), and the controls you have to grant, refuse or withdraw consent under the GDPR and the EU ePrivacy Directive.

Version  v1.0Effective  7 May 2026Data controller  INFINITYDEV, S.L.Contact  legal@trendsurfers.io
In short

One mandatory cookie remembers your banner choice. Microsoft Clarity is the only analytics tool — it loads only after you opt in, and you can change your mind at any time using the Manage cookie preferences button below or the link in the site footer.

§ 1What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website (or a third-party loaded by it) stores in your browser to remember information between page views or visits. Some cookies are required for a site to work at all; others are used to measure usage or to deliver advertising. Under the EU ePrivacy Directive (the "cookie law") and Article 7 of the GDPR, non-essential cookies may only be set after the visitor has given specific, informed consent.

The TrendSurfers website is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We do not run a server, and we do not set cookies for tracking, marketing, or session management beyond what is listed below.

§ 2How we use cookies

We use the smallest possible cookie set:

We do not use marketing, advertising, social-media, or fingerprinting cookies. We do not sell or share cookie data with anyone other than Microsoft (the Clarity processor).

§ 3Strictly necessary

One first-party cookie, set by the consent banner itself.

CookieDomainPurposeRetention
cc_cookietrendsurfers.ioStores your cookie-banner decision (accepted categories) so we don't ask again on every visit.30 days

§ 4Analytics — Microsoft Clarity

Microsoft Clarity is a behavioural-analytics service operated by Microsoft Corporation. It records anonymised heatmaps and session replays of how visitors interact with the page (mouse movement, clicks, scrolls). We use these to find usability problems and to prioritise UI improvements. Microsoft acts as a processor; the data-protection terms are governed by Microsoft's Privacy Statement and the Clarity cookie documentation.

Microsoft is a U.S.-based company; the Clarity service may transfer data outside the European Economic Area. The transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the standard contractual clauses Microsoft has in place with its sub-processors.

4.1 First-party cookies (your domain)

CookieDomainPurposeRetention
_clcktrendsurfers.ioPreserves the Clarity user ID and per-site preferences so repeat visits in the same browser are linked to one analytics record.1 year
_clsktrendsurfers.ioGroups multiple page views into a single Clarity session record.1 day

4.2 Third-party cookies (Microsoft domains)

Set by Microsoft Clarity script when it loads from clarity.ms. They are scoped to Microsoft domains and are not visible to TrendSurfers.

CookieDomainPurposeRetention
MR.c.clarity.ms / .c.bing.comIndicates whether to refresh the MUID identifier.7 days
SRM_B.c.bing.comStores user activity on Bing for analytics correlation.1 year
ANONCHK.c.clarity.msIndicates whether the MUID is transferred to ANID; used by Microsoft for anonymous-attribution checks.10 minutes
SM.c.clarity.msSynchronises the MUID across Microsoft domains.Session
CLID.clarity.msIdentifies the first time a Clarity user landed on a Clarity-enabled site.1 year
MUID.clarity.ms / .bing.comIdentifies unique browsers across Microsoft services.1 year

§ 5Manage your preferences

You can change which categories of cookies you allow at any time. The button below re-opens the consent dialog with your current settings — toggle "Performance and analytics" off to revoke, on to grant.

The same dialog is reachable from the "Manage cookie preferences" entry in the site footer.

§ 6Withdrawing consent

Under GDPR Art. 7(3) you can withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, and without giving a reason. When you toggle Microsoft Clarity off:

Withdrawing consent is purely forward-looking and does not affect the lawfulness of processing that took place before the withdrawal.

§ 7Updates to this policy

If we add a new analytics or marketing tool, change retention periods, or change sub-processors, we will update this page before the change ships. The "Effective" date in the meta-row above is the source of truth. Material changes also re-trigger the cookie banner so you can re-consent rather than relying on a previous decision.

§ 8Contact

For any question about this Cookie Policy, to exercise your data-protection rights, or to file a complaint, please email legal@trendsurfers.io.
